GOOCHLAND, Va. – Taylor Keeney, a candidate for Congress in Virginia’s 7th Congressional District, is seeking the Republican nomination to take on failed problem solver Rep. Abigail Spanberger. Keeney reacts to Spanberger’s support of the reckless tax and spend legislation being voted on in Washington, D.C.
“Abigail Spanberger is no moderate problem solver. Again and again she says one thing, then turns her back on the interests of Virginians,” said Taylor Keeney. “The trillions of new spending and taxes that Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi are pushing on all of us is too much. We simply cannot afford it; it is reckless. Yet, Spanberger paved the way for exactly that when she voted in committee to advance portions of the bill. Spanberger votes with Biden 100 percent of the time. The Democrats are in disarray, but we already know exactly what Spanberger will do when this comes up for a final vote. She’ll stand with D.C. Democrats, not us.”
Recently, Spanberger went on MSNBC to discuss the spending package and told Chuck Todd: “…it’s unfortunate that much of the conversation really focused on price tag…”
Spanberger voted to advance portions of the reconciliation package during a vote in the Committee on Agriculture.
